Egyptian Picture
I wanted to report a haunted object I once came into contact with.
This object was an inexpensive pressed-wood plaque with an Egyptian
picture varnished onto it. I never imagined that something which appeared
to be mass-produced could have a life of its own. I don't know where
it came from, and never saw any writing on the back of it, or the 2
that came with it. The 3 plaques spent a short time in a model home
in the southern United States before they came into my possession. They
sat on bookcases in an upstairs bedroom. They may have been there for
several months, I wasn't paying much attention to them.
But one evening, not too long after sunset ... I could feel a sensation
as if I was falling into a trance of some kind. When I caught myself
at the edge of this trance and shook myself out of it, I became aware
of a buzzing or vibration type sound and the word "Luna" being
said over and over again from somewhere in the room. I definitely felt
as if something was bearing down on me in a predatory way. Though the
lights in the house were very dim or off at the time, the plaque was
strangely lit so that I could see every detail. It had an Egyptian woman
figure on it ... and I understood that it was exactly from where the
repetitive voice was coming.
I know that Luna means moon, and I can't explain that connection at
all. It's exactly what I heard being repeated in a menacing kind of
way. It was growing very strong by the time I was aware of it ... probably
only 1-3 minutes passed through the whole episode.
I was completely spooked by the fine detail on the plaque I could see
in the dark room. It was not casting light around it at all. I grabbed
it and the other 2 plaques which I managed to find in the dark, took
them right to the curb of the property and put them down in a trash
bin.
That was over 20 years ago. I have told this story many times. I doubt
any one believes me. It's frustrating to be disbelieved!
However, now days with more and more evidence of haunted objects I
feel like I finally have at least part of an explanation for the strange
voice in the bedroom that night, which I have never heard since!
