Loved Ones Who Have Passed On - Signs

About seventeen years ago, within a few months of my moving out of state, a very dear, older friend of mine passed away somewhat unexpectedly. During our friendship, reincarnation, etc. had been frequent topics of conversation, so of course, following his passing, I began to look for 'signs', half afraid of what I might find/see!

Two days following his passing, while readying myself for the day I noticed that my bottle of hairspray and a small container of baby powder were not in their usual bathroom locations (in the master bath). I called my (then) husband to see if he had moved them for any reason and was told that he had not. I then spent the remainder of the day searching our house, high and low for these items, even looking in the basement, attic, garage, trash, etc, without locating them.

Later that evening, with other family members downstairs in the tv room, I headed to our upstairs bedroom and while passing the 2nd floor bath, glanced in and saw both my hairspray bottle and the baby powder sitting on either side side of the faucet handles to the lavatory!! (This was not the bath that they 'disappeared' from.)

The significance of these items?

I immediately called my friend's daughter, who shared our interest in the paranormal and asked her if she'd experienced anything out of the ordinary since her father's passing. She said no, so I shared my story with her and she was blown away by the missing baby powder, saying that they had just found out earlier that day that her brother's (my friend's son) wife was expecting a baby......but that she had no idea regarding the hairspray. Well, a running joke between my friend and I was that if I were stranded on a deserted island I could not live without my hairspray (this was during the 80's! :-), so I guess you could say that the hairspray held just a bit of significance for me!

To this day, I still get chills when relating this story and consider it 'proof positive' (for me, anyway) that there is something (much) 'more' than meets the average eye regarding the hereafter.
